Byblos, Lebanon

Byblos is the largest city in the Mount Lebanon Governorate of Lebanon. It is believed by many to be the oldest continuously-inhabited city in the world. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

It was late afternoon when we reached Byblos, a pretty little fishing port with an ancient harbour, medieval town centre and few archaeological sites.

Just walking around, taking in the sights .....being curious......what a fun way to spend the time.

Love to watch men fishing. The silence...the wait....the patience....

"May the imprints of your love stay for ever seen,
Despite winds and waves, like those of this fossil."

I spy two ladies fishing too!
