Lost in Hua Hin!

Hua Hin is a seaside resort in southern Thailand. It's about 3 hour drive from Bangkok. This is my 2nd visit to Thailand and being in Bangkok wanted to visit a new place and scouting online I discovered Hua Hin! There are quite a few nice malls but I quite enjoyed going to the local night markets.....and so much to eat!

There's a beautiful about 20 meter high Buddha statue located at the bottom of the monkey hills (because there are lots of monkeys!) near the beach. Its a nice place to walk around here and you get a lovely view of the city from up here.

Day trip to Ayutthaya

The ancient city of Ayutthaya was the Thai capital for 417 years. The city is at a distance of about 80kms from the north of Bangkok city. It is one of Thailand's major tourist attractions as one can see many ancient ruins and art works.

Chedi Phu Khao Thong or "Golden Mount Pagoda" is some 80 meters high and is located on Ayutthaya's northern outskirts. This was the focus of the sight seeing tour. We also saw another important historical site Wat Phra Maha That built in the 14th century.
