Bali...land of the Gods!

After travelling around Jakarta, Jogja and the nearby places with a friend......I flew into Bali to explore this popular island....quite famous for being a surfer's paradise!

Even though Indonesia is a Muslim majority country however Bali is predominantly Hindu. There are many Hindu Temples each intricately carved. I hired a car and toured most of these temples. On the way I also had a chance to visit some of the lush terraced rice fields which Bali is so famous of.

I stayed in Kuta which is a popular tourist district with lots of restaurants and close proximity to the beach and when the night falls.....the streets comes alive with music as well as fire-eaters! Yes, you could see also see dancers trying to woo tourists into coming to the many bars, restaurants which line the Kuta Roads.

Bali from the sky!

The Kuta Beach street (Jalan Pantai Kuta), one of Kuta's main thoroughfares. This is a one-way street.

From the balcony....where I stayed in Kuta.
