Saskatoon Farm

Saskatoon Farm - I had heard so much about this farm and today being a holiday... Heritage Day .....after vegetating during the weekend, took full advantage of the beautiful sunny weather..... and went cherry picking!

From Calgary, it's pretty much a straight drive when you get on to Macleod Trail. Once you cross the Okotoks overpass look out for the Saskatoon Farm sign and turn left at the 338 Ave. This road directly leads you to the farm.

The farm has such an ideal setting with the Sheep River running at the back of the farm. One can spend the entire day just sitting there ....looking out doing nothing. The place also has a restaurant, an ice cream shop as well as a furniture shop with lots of knick-knacks for your home. You can buy farm fresh produce....there were loads of vegetables one could buy or take a pail and go cherry picking. There's a nursery as well as an enclosed area where there were chickens, turkeys and other small animals. Kids were loving it. One can bring the whole family and have a good time here.......except no dogs are allowed!
